In Morrinsville we offer a new 16-bed Rest Home which opened in February 2016. All bedrooms are private with ensuite bathrooms. There is a small ‘café’ in the garden where Residents can enjoy tea and cake or a long, cold drink in the summer months, a perfect place to socialise with friends and family.
The Rest Home has a small, private hair salon on site and a local hairdresser visits regularly.
In Matamata, a brand-new Rest Home building opened in November 2018 to accommodate 16 Residents in 16 beautifully appointed bedrooms, 8 with private ensuite bathrooms and 8 with shared bathrooms. The lounge and dining areas are tastefully decorated and there is a small kitchen in the rest home for resdidents to potter around in, if they so wish and baking workshops are a regular activity.
The new building in Matamata is behind our Dementia Unit,with access through the driveway at 175 Firth Street and is situated in a lovely established garden.
